New Inca Son is a Boston-based Andean folk ensemble dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich musical and dance traditions of the Andes. Comprising artists from Peru and Bolivia, the group performs centuries-old melodies using traditional instruments like panpipes, charango, and bombo drums, often accompanied by vibrant dances such as the Quechua Scissors Dance. Their mission extends beyond performance; they aim to educate audiences, particularly youth, about indigenous Andean culture through concerts, workshops, and residencies.
