Please join us for the WBNA's second annual Conversation About West Side Public Schools.
Meet the award-winning principals of Asa Messer Elementary and West Broadway Middle Schools as well as the assistant principals of Carl Lauro Elementary School, and hear about the teaching and learning happening in our public schools including special programs such as the dual language track at Carl Lauro.
This past spring Principal Denise Missry of Asa Messer Elementary was named Rhode Island Elementary Principal of the Year. At the same time West Broadway Middle School’s principal, Bill Black, was named Rhode Island New Principal of the Year. Two of the four statewide awards honoring top principals this year were given right in this neighborhood!
After presentations from school leaders, there will be a Q&A during which you'll have an opportunity to ask questions of the principals as well as hear from west side parents whose children currently attend west side public schools.
This evening offers a great opportunity to connect with educators, administrators and parents, and to get a feel for our neighborhood public schools.
Free pizza and childcare will be provided.
Conversation About West Side Public Schools is hosted by the West Side Kids Committee.
