Cooking Oil Recycling Program Kickoff

  • WBNA Headquarters 1560 Westminster Street Providence, RI, 02909 United States

WBNA has teamed up with Newport Biodiesel to create a Cooking Oil Recycling Program on the west side. Celebrate our newest green initiative with food trucks and a ceremonial oil pour this Saturday at WBNA that is also a benefit for the RI Good Neighbor Energy Fund!

Meet up with neighbors, grab lunch at a food truck and get information about this new program that recycles used vegetable cooking oil into clean burning fuel for heating homes and powering vehicles. Learn how easy it is to recycle your used cooking oil.

Anyone with waste vegetable oil can drop it off in our blue oil barrel located outside of WBNA Headquarters. Drop offs can be made at anytime, 24/7. The cooking oil drop off barrel is located to the left of the building. Please note that you cannot pour hot oil into the barrel (please wait for it to cool).

The Cooking Oil Recycling Program is a project of the WBNA Green Initiatives Committee in partnership with Newport Biodiesel. Learn more about this project here.
