Green Initiatives Committee Meeting

  • Armory Properties 334 Broadway Providence, RI, 02909 United States

This meeting focuses on current challenges to the City of Providence's recycling program. Unfortunately, much of our neighborhood's recycling is getting dumped due to contamination. Francisco Ramirez from the DPW will attend to answer our questions about recycling on the neighborhood and city level. We'll identify problem routes, discuss solutions, and explore outreach with other neighborhood associations. The Green Initiatives Committee is looking for neighbors interested in working on this issue to join us.

We may also have a guest appearance from Corey Auger, board member of Urban Greens Food Co-Op, to give us an update on UG's proposed grocery store at 93 Cranston Street.

The Green Initiatives Committee's purpose is to ensure a well-maintained and attractive urban environment integrated with the best green, historic and sustainable practices. Please visit our committee page for more information about us.
