Join neighbors of all ages and the Providence Neighborhood Planting Program in planting 13 trees on Wood, Chapin, Messer and Willow Streets.
This family friendly event starts at 131 Wood Street with a planting demonstration. Volunteers then break into groups to plant 13 new trees on the west side.
Never planted a tree before? No experience necessary – you'll get lots of help and support along the way while having fun and greening the neighborhood!
Please dress for dirt. Wear boots or sturdy footwear and gloves – no open-toed shoes or bare hands. And, if you have them, bring these tools: shovel, pruning shears, sharp knife or scissors, small saw, and broom (and be sure to label them).
Please RSVP and direct any questions to Becky, our tree planting neighbor-coordinator. Thank you Becky for organizing this spring's planting!
