Join us for the last public tours offered this fall of the Providence Armory on Cranston Street (aka Cranston Street Armory)! Tours are FREE and open to all.
Guided tours of 10 people per tour will leave every 15 minutes between 5pm and 6:30pm and are available on a first come, first served, basis. These tours offer a detailed glimpse of the Armory's ballroom; the massive, nearly 62,000 square foot basement; and the Drill Hall with its 80 foot ceiling and breadth of 2 football fields.
From 6:30 to 7pm, there will be a general open house style admission to accommodate a larger number of visitors that will be limited to the drill hall and ballroom.
Armory Open! tours are part of WBNA's broader initiative to get people back into the Armory and to fuel public discourse and advocacy about the future benefits this building could bring to our neighborhood, city and state.
PLEASE NOTE that entry to the Armory for these tours will be accessed through the Drill Hall entrance which is adjacent to the parking lot. Enter the parking lot on Parade Street (near Wood Street). See map here and below.
Many thanks to the RI Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance and WBNA volunteers.
