Join us for Candidates Night during our September general meeting at West Broadway Middle School. This is the first of two WBNA candidates forums to be held in advance of the November election, and includes candidates running for seats in the WBNA focus area who will be on the Democratic Primary ballot the following day, September 12.*
This forum will be scheduled in three sections for Democratic city council, mayoral, and state general assembly races (see schedule below). Each section includes approximately a half hour question-and-answer period for neighbors. To submit a question in advance, click the button below (deadline for advance submissions is 3pm on the day of the event).
WBNA's focus area includes City Council Wards 11 & 13, State Senate Districts 5 & 6, and State House Districts 8 & 9. All affiliated party candidates from these districts and wards have been invited, though Ward 11 and House District 8 are running unopposed and therefore will not be participating in the formal part of the evening's schedule.
This forum is part of our Neighborhood Nights series, WBNA's monthly general meeting that is open to everyone. Please note that WBNA Committees will NOT be meeting this evening. Free food, child care and Spanish interpretation provided.
Please SAVE THE DATE for our second candidates forum on Tuesday, October 2, that will include independent and Republican candidates.
* We regret the proximity of this forum to the Democratic Primary date and any inconvenience it causes to those celebrating Rosh Hashanah. Due to Labor Day, scheduling conflicts and WBNA's offices being closed in August, this date became the one that would be most accessible within these constraints.
