Neighborhood Nights April Meeting

  • West Broadway Middle School (cafeteria entrance at far left side of building) 29 Bainbridge Avenue Providence, RI, 02909 United States (map)

INFRASTRUCTURE is the theme for our April Neighborhood Nights. Streets, sidewalks, parks, traffic, and highways impact our daily living. One day you’re detoured because of gas main work in our streets. Or you wake up to the sound of pile driving on Route 6/10. Or you wonder when those improvements at Dexter Training Ground are going to happen.

At our April meeting, Providence’s Departments of Parks, Traffic Engineering, and Public Works will give updates on planned work in the neighborhood during 2019, followed by a report from the RI Department of Transportation (RIDOT) on construction activity for the Route 6-10 Reconstruction Project and its impact on the neighborhood. After brief presentations by our guests, neighbors will have the opportunity to ask questions.

At 7pm, join our Community Development Committee meeting where developers will present plans for a proposed mixed use development at 88 Union Avenue. District 4 Police Commander Lt. Fernandes will be also be available for his open chat and “office hours” with neighbors to discuss crime-related issues and the District 4 Crime Report.

Free food, child care and Spanish interpretation provided, plus open gym. Meet your neighbors, learn about WBNA and neighborhood initiatives, and get involved! Open to all.
