WBNA’s bulk purchase solar panel program is back, and will be showcased at our September Neighborhood Nights meeting along with presentations about energy affordability, efficiency, and other green energy resources for tenants and homeowners.
We welcome SolPower, presenting WBNA’s Go Solar PVD bulk solar purchasing program for homes and businesses. Learn how to get an affordably-installed solar panel system by taking advantage of a 30% federal tax credit (before it runs out at the end of 2019), group purchasing discounts, and low interest financing.
After SolPower’s presentation, we will be joined by presenters sharing about energy affordability, climate justice, and energy efficiency programs from Sustain PVD and the Racial and Environmental Justice Committee (REJC), George Wiley Center, National Grid, and Green Energy Consumers Alliance.
National Grid will also have representatives on site who can enroll qualified neighbors for its low income discount program (bring utility bills to enroll).
Starting at 7pm, our new District 4 Police Commander Lt. Ernest Forlini, Jr will be available for “office hours” to discuss crime-related issues one on one with neighbors. If interested in speaking with the Lieutenant, sign up at the front table when you arrive.
Neighborhood Nights meetings are free and open to everyone. Food, child care and Spanish interpretation are provided, plus open gym. Meet your neighbors, learn about WBNA and neighborhood initiatives, and get involved!
Many thanks to The Feast Church for donating A/V equipment and to Board Member Noel Sanchez for Spanish interpretation services.
