Preview Party
Fri | OCt 11 |  6-9pm

441 Broadway, Providence

The weekend begins with a celebratory Preview Party at the William O. Briggs House (1849), an Italianate Palazzo inspired house that was one of the very first to be constructed on Broadway, now completely renovated by its designer-builder owners. The party will feature divine and all-local art, food (including oysters), and drink, with a return of our popular art auction. Tickets to the Preview Party include free admission to Saturday's House Tour.

Sat | OCT 12 |  10am-4pm

Starts at our Welcome Center:
West Broadway Neighborhood Association, 1560 Westminster Street

Step inside Victorian houses and buildings that serve/d as home to successive waves of immigrants who settled in this neighborhood over the past 180 years – Irish, Italian, Armenian, Dominican, and Guatemalan, to name a few. An 1890s schoolhouse built to serve a surging newcomer population, now turned residences. The home of an Irish clergyman, now a four-generation family residence. One of the first grand homes ever to be built on Broadway. And more.

This self-guided tour explores the rich cultural heritage of Providence’s west side through a dozen of its storied houses and buildings, and through the people who live/d in them.
