Preserve the Prentice Mansion

No one wants to imagine beautiful Broadway without the Prentice Mansion! The Wedding Cake House is one of those grand houses that makes Broadway... Broadway!

The building has suffered and is frankly, in really rough shape, because it has been vacant for years.  The Providence Preservation Society has included the Kendrick-Prentice-Tirocchi House on its Most Endangered Properties list in 2010, again in 2012 and finally in 2015.  The Providence Revolving Fund has asked West Broadway Neighborhood Association and Providence Preservation Society to help raise funds from the community (YOU!) to match a grant from the 1772 Foundation to stabilize the tower and make other critical emergency repairs.

Artists and volunteers are optimistic that we can raise $25,000 through community support for this house. These funds are critical, as the PRF is pledging its own reserve funds toward the stabilization of this house. This campaign relies on generosity but also some great perks that include a cocktail party, a private collection tour, original and limited edition artwork!  We hope everyone will give what they can to save this community landmark!  #mostendangered  #preserveprenticepvd
