Help shape WBNA's future

WBNA has begun a year-long planning process that will guide our goals and work plans in the neighborhood for the next five years. This process cannot succeed without your ideas! We ask you to take part by sharing what you care about, and to encourage your neighbors to take part, as well.

HOW IT WORKS

The first half of the year is “listening season.” To develop the best plan possible, we are going door-to-door this spring in a campaign to reach the 3000 households in our focus area. We'll distribute a brief survey in English and Spanish throughout the neighborhood, as well at Neighborhood Nights meetings, other WBNA events and online. Through a broad outreach campaign, we hope to learn what our community as a whole cares most about.

Throughout the summer, we'll compile and document the neighbor feedback we've gathered, and create a first draft of our 2018 Strategic Plan. In the fall, we will report back about our findings during Neighborhood Nights, where neighbors can react to the information gathered. At the end of the year, a final draft of our Strategic Plan and 2019-2023 work goals will be completed which will then be shared at the WBNA Annual Meeting in January 2019.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Complete our survey (versión en español aquí)!

  • Encourage your neighbors to weigh in and be heard, whether they are WBNA members or not. We want to hear from everyone in our focus area

  • Help with our door-to-door listening campaign on Saturday, April 7 or May 12 (9am-noon). Two-person teams of neighbors will visit homes on the street where they live to get feedback from neighbors about what they care about. Speak Spanish? We need your help as we are striving to have one Spanish speaker for each team. Sign up here to volunteer (versión en español aquí).

WBNA is YOUR neighborhood association, and is relying on your feedback and that of all neighbors to make WBNA's goals and plans moving forward the best they can be. Thanks for your help!
