WBNA's summer performance series features family-friendly fun with salsa and bachata sensation Roberto Arias y su Alebreke (+ free salsa instruction); Trinity Rep's bilingual adaptation of Tanta Bulla… ¿Y Pa’ Qué? / Much Ado About Nothing; award winning West African drummer Sidy Maïga and Afrimanding; and the two-man americana band The Horse-Eyed Men, plus lots of kids activities, Beer Garden by Revival Brewing Co and Troop, and more! 2019 performance dates are June 20 & 27, July 11, and Aug 1.
In a whole-school collaboration, West Broadway Middle School launches the district’s first-ever chapter of the National Junior Honor Society as well as the district’s only National Student Council with an aim to pair student voice and leadership with academic learning.
WBNA seeks tenants for its beautiful, sunny, ground floor commercial space at 1577 Westminster Street, available immediately. Lease the entire 1,978 square foot space or one of two separate 989 square foot spaces on the building’s ground floor. Originally built as a market and café, 1577’s ground floor accommodates a broad range of commercial uses including shops, cafés, start-ups, offices, gallery/studio, or other retail or service entities.
Volunteers needed! In an ongoing partnership with House of Hope CDC, WBNA seeks volunteers for its ACES (Armory Citizens Enabling Shelter) initiative to provide outreach and supportive services to homeless and housing insecure individuals in the Dexter Training Ground area.
