Last Friday Denise Missry of Asa Messer Elementary School was honored as the Rhode Island Elementary School Principal of the Year in a lively celebration that included the entire school community along with Mayor Jorge Elorza, city and state elected officials, education leaders and west side community members.
A special joint review meeting hosted by WBNA's Community Development Committee and PPS's Planning and Architectural Review Committee revealed preliminary plans for the redevelopment of 151-159 Broadway, speculative site for CVS and an important "gateway" for our neighborhood.
